About the Department

The Brentwood Volunteer Fire Department, station 855 has been in existence since 1923. We have been serving the community for over 94 years with Volunteers. We are an integral part of a combined (Paid) system that protects the five towns in our area and the surrounding community of Prince George’s County.

We are located at 3716 Rhode Island Ave, centrally located on a major thoroughfare served by public transportation. We are close to major Universities in Maryland and the District of Columbia. We have off street parking for those wishing not to use public transportation as well.

Additional Benefits & Incentives

Volunteering in Prince George’s County offers a unique opportunity to work alongside some of the most diverse, highly skilled and brightest group of men and women in the Fire service. The training that you receive, and the gear that you receive are all free as a result of your participation. We teach teamwork as a part of the training to build professional relationships amongst coworkers and others that we encounter in our daily operations. The potential of the individual member is unlimited to obtain training, rank and more responsibility. We are an Equal Opportunity organization and welcome all that want to be a part of a great team.
